Naturopathic medicine blends modern science with traditional and natural forms of medicine. The naturopathic philosophy is to stimulate the healing power of the body and prevent and treat the underlying cause of disease. Symptoms of disease are seen as warning signals of improper functioning of the body, an underlying imbalance, and unfavourable lifestyle habits. If you’re looking for natural solutions that get to the root of your problems, not just more medications that don’t really give you your health back, you’ve come to the right place.

Massage therapy consists primarily of hands-on manipulation of the soft tissues of the body, specifically, the muscles, connective tissue, tendons, ligaments and joints for the purpose of optimizing health.

Massage therapy treatment has a therapeutic effect on the body and optimizes health and well-being by acting on the muscular, nervous and circulatory systems. Physical function can be developed, maintained and improved; and physical dysfunction and pain and the effects of stress can be relieved or prevented through the use of Massage Therapy.

Modern massage techniques can be traced back to the 1700s and the development of Swedish massage, the first systematic method of therapeutic massage based on physiology. Today’s Massage Therapists use their knowledge of anatomy and physiology to combine traditional Swedish and modern Massage Therapy techniques with exercise and other therapies to treat their clients.

Andrée can start treating kids 12 years old and up.

An Osteopathic visit with Andrée Beauchamp is a cohesive body therapy that includes a comprehensive sensorial and visual assessment to recognize imbalances in the bones, muscles, joints, organs or systems. This is followed through with gentle mobilization, moving bones and joints (w/o going past the range of motion as in chiropractic), with Acu-pressure, Trigger point therapy and or Visceral work (to release organ tissue constraints.) This sequence is intended to bring about balance, harmony and relief to each and every client I touch, whether it be needed physically, mentally or emotionally. At times an Osteo visit will include a Cranial Osteopathic protocol, to begin with, to release transverse tissue restrictions to alleviate overall body tension as well as to improve and increase the proper functioning of the Cerebrospinal fluid which is housed in the spinal column. This greatly assists a person to relax.

Osteopathic Cranial Treatment:
An Osteopathic Cranial session is a gentle, non-invasive, hands-on body therapy that focuses on the free and healthy flow of the Cerebrospinal fluid which is housed in the spinal column. This treatment's aim is to improve the blood flow and the circulation to all parts of the body as well as to improve the proper functioning and firing of the endocrine and nervous systems; especially good for those who suffer from concussions, chronic headaches, TMJ problems, sleep disorders, sinusitis and depression.

Reiki is a non-invasive holistic healing modality that works to restore balance in body, mind and spirit while promoting and supporting the body's regenerative self-healing ability. Distance Reiki accomplishes the same outcomes but over a distance – something we are all practising these days! All that is required is a quiet place in your home to rest and relax during the treatment.

As with an in-person treatment, distance treatments are completely confidential and private and can be done via internet or phone from the comfort of your home.

During a treatment, individuals may feel heat, cold, tingling, muscle movement and/or emotional impacts. All of this is perfectly normal and is the effect of the body’s energy systems transforming and coming back into balance.

I became inspired to become a Naturopathic Doctor after witnessing the burden that chronic disease had on many family members, feeling helpless, wanting to assist, but not knowing how. It is when I worked in Community Medicine at the University of Calgary focusing on mental health and social determinants of health where I was introduced to Naturopathic Medicine. This sparked my calling to help others in a direct way. I graduated from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) where I completed a Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine (ND). I also hold a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree from McGill University. During the fourth year of my clinic internship I treated patients at the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic and the LAMP Community Health Center.

I work as a health detective to identify the root causes of your health concerns and whatever obstacles are preventing you from reaching your goals. I empower, educate and motivate my patients to reaching their optimal health.

In addition to supporting general wellness and seasonal care (eg. cold & flu, allergies, seasonal affective disorder), I focus on mood regulation (eg. anxiety, depression, stress management), digestive concerns and hormonal imbalances.

Using natural therapies, I am passionate about health, my goal is to inspire others to make positive lifestyle choices to enjoy healthier lives. The principle of ‘Doctor as Teacher’ has always resonated with me and I believe that by providing patients with knowledge and tools, they become empowered to reach their optimal level of health.

I am a member of the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND), the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors (OAND) and I am registered with the College of Naturopaths of Ontario (CONO).

When not busy in the clinic, I enjoy spending time with my family, being creative, cooking, gardening, connecting with nature, meditating, doing yoga and watching movies.

I have been of service to clients in Integrative Health and Wise Traditions for over 18 years. Certified initially in 2005 in Holistic Healthcare, I felt passionate to continue my studies in Herbal medicine and went on to study with a number of renowned herbalists schooled in Western Herbal Medicine.

In 2007, I completed a yearlong foundational studies in Traditional Chinese Medicine which led to studies in 2014, in Bio-Therapeutic Drainage, a European-based modality that utilizes the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine to assist people to purify. Of utmost importance, however, I am rooted in the Wise Woman’s Tradition and focus on nourishing wholeness and holiness with whole foods, wild native herbs, and presence.

Along with a depth of health and herbal knowledge, I have cultivated healing hands over the years. With early body therapy training in Reiki, Acu-pressure (Shiatsu) and Reflexology Massage, Craniosacral Therapy came as a natural next step studying with the Upledger Institute since 2014. Recently, I took the plunge and successfully fulfilled the Accreditation for a Manual Osteopath, D.O.M.P. thus, deeply committed to working with people both on and off the table.

These professional skills are all embodied with more than 40 years of practice in martial arts, meditation and yoga, which lends well to my courteous, friendly, knowledgeable, wise and versatile approach to health and healing.
